"Let Us Live in the Way God Desires..."(12.7.2025)

"Let Us Live in the Way God Desires..."

Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,
I am happy to reflect with you today based on the Word of God.

“Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather, fear the One who can destroy both soul and body in hell.”

Through this Word, we are called today to live our lives as people who fear only God and do only what God desires.

1. Disciples Must Become Like Their Master (Jesus)

"A disciple is to become like his master."
This is a call — a clear invitation that we too must live like Jesus.

Even when we face opposition and rejection, we must live in such a way that we pursue only what is pleasing to God in all situations.
Let us not live in fear of those around us, but with reverence only for the Lord — always aware that He watches over all our actions.
In both word and deed, we must become true disciples (students) of Jesus, following Him faithfully.

2. Nothing is Hidden from God's Sight

"There is nothing covered that will not be revealed."
These words point us to a truth: Nothing is hidden from the Lord’s eyes.
Even the small actions we think go unnoticed — this Word invites us today to stop and examine them.

Let us realize that the Lord sees everything. We are called to act in every circumstance in a way that is pleasing to Him, and to ask Him in prayer for the strength to do so.

3. It is God Who Protects Us

In today’s Gospel, Jesus uses the example of sparrows:
Even a tiny bird is not forgotten by God.
How much more, then, will He care for us, His beloved children?

He reminds us: “Even the hairs of your head are numbered.”
This reveals that He knows us completely and cares deeply for us.

Let us walk His path with deep trust, striving to be the people He desires us to be.

4. If We Acknowledge Him, He Will Acknowledge Us

Jesus speaks very directly:
“Whoever acknowledges Me before others, I will acknowledge before My Father.”

This reminds us of an important truth — we must sincerely accept and support those who live out the Lord’s mission among us.
When we do, we too will be accepted by God.

Therefore, today, as God’s people:

Let us live each day aware of His protection,
knowing that nothing is hidden from His sight,
and strive with our words and deeds to live in a way that pleases Him.

Let us ask for His grace — and God will continue to bless us.

With love always,
Fr. J. Sahaya Raj
