Adoration Service
Theme: Jesus the Divine Mercy
Introduction to the service:
Christ is the divine mercy. From his birth to His resurrection His life is a complete account of mercy of God. Throughout the history of the world when mankind has turned away from God and begun to ‘wander aimlessly’ like a lost frightened child God in His mercy has sent us special prophets, saints and at times even our lady, to point out our mistakes and lead us back to Him.
In 1925 Jesus Himself
personally came to correct and guide mankind through His special instrument Sr.
Faustina (Canonized on
If love and mercy is the nature of God, then His sons and daughters too, created in His image and recreated into the image of His son are called to become mercy.
‘Be Merciful just as your Heavenly Father is Merciful.’ Let us at this adoration Service allow Gods mercy to flow into our hearts so that in turn we could be merciful to others.
Hymn : Majesty
Worship His Majesty
Majesty Worship His majesty
Unto Jesus be all glory, honour and praise.
Majesty, kingdom authority,
Flow from his throne unto his own,
For endless days.
So exalt, lift up on high, the name of Jesus
Magnify, come glorify, Christ Jesus the King.
Majesty, worship his majesty
Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.
( Reflection on the words of Jesus to Sr. Faustina to make known to mankind. (Commentary with soft instrumental music - 7
minutes)
After seeing the vision of the suffering Jesus, Sr. Faustina a Polish nun entered the congregation of Our Lady of Mercy. During the 13 years Sr. Faustina was commanded by Jesus and her spiritual director to write down the thoughts, experiences and conversations of Jesus, today known as the diary. You are the secretary of my mercy; I have chosen you for that office in this life and the next life.
Let us listen to the words of Jesus to Sr. Faustina.
I desire that My Mercy is worshipped, and I am giving mankind the last hope of salvation; that is, recourse to My Mercy.
I am Love and Mercy itself. When a soul approaches Me with trust, I fill it with such an abundance of graces that it cannot contain them within itself, but radiates them to other souls.
Tell Sinners that no one shall escape My hand; if they run away from My Merciful Heart, they will fall into My Just Hands. Tell sinners that I am always waiting for them, that I listen intently to the beating of their heart…. When will it beat for Me? Write, that I am speaking to them through their remorse of conscience, through their failures and sufferings, through thunderstorms, through the voice of the church. And if they bring all My graces to naught, I begin to be angry with them, leaving them alone and giving them what they want.
Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy.
WORD OF GOD :
Reading from the Book of The Prophet Isaiah 49: 15
Can a woman forget her nursing child, or show no compassion for the child of her womb? Even these may forget yet I will not forget you.
This is the Word of the Lord -
Pause (1 Minute )
Let us reflect on Gods Mercy towards us. Can we be merciful to others who stand in need of it? The parable of the prodigal son is the perfect example. Can we be like the forgiving father? If we find it difficult let us ask God for his Mercy.
Benediction Hymn

Bow In Adoration

Final Hymn :
( 2 Minutes )
There Is None Like You
There is none like you.
No one else can touch my heart like you do.
I could search for all eternity Lord,
And find there is none like you.
Your Mercy flows like a river wide
And healing comes from your hands.
Suffering children are safe in your arms.
There is none like you.
